Stroke – The maximum amount of travel of the rod.

Extended length – The total length of the gas spring measured from centre-to-centre of the end fits

Closed Length – The total closed length measured from centre-to-centre of the end fits

Where no end fits have been specified then the extended and closed lengths are measured from the rod end to tube end (excluding threads) as shown.
