Airport support vehicles often come with a number of requirements for motion control solutions, with a more suitable choice for said applications being the standard Swift and Sure range. This gas spring comes available in an extensive range of sizes, with a wide range of end connectors and brackets. It is an entirely self-contained, maintenance free, hydro-pneumatic ram, which possesses the characteristics of a compression spring – it is ideally suited on vehicles of any size.
Our traction lockable gas spring – the Blocklift – is also highly suited to airport support vehicles for applications such as seating. Being fitted with a special locking valve that will only allow the spring to be released when the pin is pressed, Blocklift gas springs can be stopped at any position during operation. Working in a similar fashion to conventional gas springs, with the addition of an internal locking mechanism that can be stopped immediately at any position.
