What are hydraulic dampers?
Hydraulic dampers are essential components that are designed to control movement, speed, and vibration reduction in a wide array of applications. They are versatile solutions found in various environments, ranging from those that improve comfort to those used to ensure safety.
Our dampers come in various configurations, ranging from simple extension and compression dampers with or without gas, to bespoke blast mitigation solutions used in military applications. Regardless of the setup, our hydraulic dampers are designed to deliver superior performance and achieve optimal results.
Discover the inner workings of hydraulic dampers
When it comes to controlling movement, stopping objects, or eliminating vibration, hydraulic dampers are the ideal solution. These self-contained units are designed to control motion, whether it’s velocity control, deceleration, or absorbing shock.
Our dampers are engineered to absorb, meter, and control kinetic energy, ensuring precise control over the characteristics of movement. These specially designed units are available in both carbon steel and stainless steel, allowing for optimal performance in a wide range of applications. Whether you need to control movement in CPR beds, adjust weights, or automate gate and lid closures, our dampers have you covered.
At Camloc, we specialize in the design and manufacturing of hydraulic dampers. We don’t just make dampers that are like gas springss with more oil and no gas. Our experience, knowledge, and expertise allow us to create dampers for even the most demanding applications, including mono tube or twin tube dampers.
Whether you need compression, extension, or dampers that work in both directions, we have the expertise to develop the perfect solution. Our dampers are trusted and utilized in thousands of critical applications worldwide.

What sizes do you offer?
Like gas springs, dampers are commonly referred to by their size. Unlike gas springs, all our hydraulic dampers are designed bespoke to the customer’s needs. With so many options available, we do not stock a range of standard sizes through our distributor network, but instead work with the customer to develop the correct solution for their needs. These can range from 6mm rod diameter up to 28mm tube diameter.
How does Camloc operate?
Continuous investment in our staff and the latest hardware keeps us at the forefront of our industry, ensuring we continuously adopt the latest manufacturing processes from our facility, and we successfully problem-solve for our customers. We continue to enhance and evolve our production processes using lean manufacturing methods, something we have been doing since 2001.
We deliver high-quality products that cover a wide range of industry sectors, across the UK, USA, Europe and around the world.
